What it takes to become a professional trader?

Do you want to be a professional investor? Or a professional stock trader? Or professional blogger?

Let me ask you few questions.

How many years it takes to become a lawyer?

How many years it takes to become a medical doctor?

How many years it takes to become an accountant?

How many years it takes to become an engineer?

Legal field in Malaysia have statutory regulation for any lawyer to have at least 7 years of experience before he or she is allowed to take a chambering student.

I do know a medical doctor needs few more years to become a specialist doctor (Oh, I’m not a hardcore fan of Grey’s Anatomy so I couldn’t give you the details ;) )

The point here is, you need a length of learning period before you could become a real professional. Warren Buffet said, “Really doing what you’re love doing and doing it well.” Do you know Buffet had bought his first shares when he was only 11?

There is no exact time period such as 4 years or 5 years, but you need time. You need time to learn. You need time to make mistakes. You need time to learn from mistake. You need time to rebound back. You need time to grow.

I’ve been blogging for nearly 5 years, now I’m ready to become a problogger. I’m still in a process to become a professional trader.

How about you? I hope in any field that you love, you’re ready to face a learning curve process. It is a hard process. It is not an easy path. You must be strong physically and mentally. An ordinary people can’t do it. Only super ordinary people will step up and take all the challenges.

The choice is yours.
