Business at home?
Well, nobody love traffic jam. Pay tolls & petrol prices. Office rent. You might thinking to have an office at home. Wonderful right? No much additional cost needed. But it is as easy as you think?

Based on my experience, you must consider 2 things:
1. Family Support
Working at home is a phenomena of Information Age. For you it might be new challenges. But for others, it could be seen as a backward step. People in Industrial Age are still thinking still if you want a job, you have to find it outside your home sweet home.
Thus, you have to know your parents. If you are married, please make sure your couple is understanding and though enough because there will be a mak cik, pak cik and neighbors will ask your couple, why you are not working!
2. Discipline
You must have a strict discipline. Tough no bosses or annual vacation, you must have a proper schedule for your work. You can’t think, “Well, I want to off today,” at anytime you want to. You still have to work accordingly.
Moreover, you have to create some sort of “working environment” during the “office hour”. It doesn’t mean you have to wear jacket, necktie, smart formal attire, but please do something that you will consider it as a “working environment”. You might need to send your children to day care centre if they are disturbing or you can’t handle them.
Discipline. Plan your work.
For me, you must have this 2 things in order for you to work at home. Please do not try to open your own home office if you don’t have those or you can’t work effectively later on.
Do you have any other opinions?

Perfect!
the no. 1 is outside influence, the no. 2 is from the inside.
the later one is very hard to control maa..
Pakdi:That’s why it is hard to become businessperson
Discipline…a tough task. He he. It’s better to have a prime-time, revenue-generating hours so that we can maximize the output and work less than usual.
However that idea is not mine, Alex Mandossian use these and it works for him as home based internet entrepreneur.
Pakdi:
there’re more interruptions working at home coz they think u’re not working.. they think u’re playing kot. “makcik nk main game”.. “kchik cepat nk g umah bgchik”.. mcm2 la. so.. kena la pandai handle all these things
Pakdi: Sabar-sabar
pakdi, bleh lukis seat setiap peserta hari sabut dan ahad ni tak? sesaja nak imagine.. hehehe..
Pakdi: Seat? er.. camana kau maksudkan tu? gua igt nak bagi free seating je
hoh.. atur sesiap ler beb.. kang berterabur.. takpela.. ikut ko ler.. ko dah penah anjur, kan? ko lagi berpengalaman..
Pakdi: InsyaAllah, semua beres free seat pun
Haha. I like the first one. No wonder I called your number and pick-up by your mum I guess.. Hahak.
Anyway, family support is needed in whatever we do in life. No matter what.
Kalo orang sesi pagi nak lepak jadik pemerhati bebas belah sesi petang bleh dak chief?
Pakdi: Hehe… mu datang dulu…
hi…very intresting article u have here…and at the moment i’m working from home - for already 3 years+. Rasanyer for a mother to have a home-based bussiness is much preferable. Still, as u said, its not easy..:).
Luckily, No 1 issue is no prob for me. Yang no 2 tu susah skit , with 2 kids at home…memang bukan cerita mudah nak disiplinkan diri dan mencari masa yg tetap untuk bekerja ( betul2 bekerja ). Still….people always think …i’m so lucky and it must be very2 nice to work from home with your kids around u…. ermmmmmm…..belum cuba blom tau . hehe.
just my 2 cents.

Pakdi: Wow, you’re doing hantaran for wedding. Menarik tu… Yup. For women working at home (even outsider think she is just a housewife) is normally accepted, but not for men to work from home (outsider will think he is unemployed-lazy-husband-drug addict lagi) Good luck in you business Shaja!
