Halal Market Potential

Halal Market is a huge market. You have potential of 1.6 bilion ready customer. The foods & products value is estimated at USD 2.1 trillion per year. This is a very big opportunity. That’s why you could see Western banks such as Citibank has developed their own Islamic Banking services and products.

Halal Market is not about foods & beverages only. It is also not only about Islamic banking, finance & investment. The other area of halal market are pharmaceutical, herbs, cosmetics, health care, fashion, music, film, arts, entertainment, toys, hotel and many more.

Thus, don’t worry if you do not know how to trade in stocks & commodities to create Syariah compliant hedge fund for example, or how to give talks on riba’ or fiqh muamalat subject. That’s not the only way to tap into the halal market and contribute to Islam.

If you are already in foods & beverages sector such as agricultural, restaurant, food chains services and others, go on and produce the best halal products and set the highest quality for that.

If you are a doctor or even a pharmacist, don’t quit the job and join the Multi-Level-Marketing that selling all the health supplements. Please produce anything halal that is related in your field and you should become the owner of new MLM company or the biggest halal pharmaceutical company in the world, or maybe you can develop an Islamic environment hospital chains.

You love fashion. That’s good. Why don’t you open a halal modelling agency or halal fashion center. Tabarruj? Well, that’s why I say halal and not Muslim.

All of you have a responsibility to create halal products and environment throughout the world. Islam is the way of life. What do you need in your life? Thus, there is an opportunity and demand for halal products and services.

    Interesting topic. That why we must build more Halal products its not about food only but more to muslim economic

    I have this dream of opening a muslimah boutique one day. Tapi angan - angan aje =)

    Pakdi: Asni, nak elak dream tu jadi angan-angan? Gi tulis dalam kertas yang elok sikit, cam notes paper tu, tulis tarikh dan cita-cita tu.

    Contohnya: “Pada 2012, Saya ingin membuka sebuah butik Muslimah di Kuala Lumpur.”

    Lepas tu cerita kat orang yang paling rapat. aseb la kot :P dan baca kertas tu selalu.

    cuba buat, sedar tak sedar around 2012 nanti, butik tu akan asni bukak jugak.
